Giant‘s Causeway
The Giant‘s Causeway is located on one of Ireland’s most beautiful coastlines. A wonderful myth is entwined around the giant Finn McCool and the creation of the Causeway. Scientifically, it is the result of a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago, during which lava cooled into polygonal basalt columns. Around 40,000 of these columns are said to characterise the landscape. The UNESCO declared the area a World Heritage Site because of its uniqueness.
