Dalkey Castle
Within the walls of Dalkey there were once seven massive tower houses – called “The seven Castles of Dalkey” – at the end of the 17th century. The name “Castle” is a little misleading, as the towers were mainly used to store goods shipped via Coliemore Harbour.
Only two of these towers have survived today: Archibald’s Castle and Goat’s Castle (which hosts the Dalkey Heritage Centre).
