Slade Castle

Slade

Slade Castle was built in the 15th century by the Laffan family as a four-storey tower house. In the course of the 16th century, the complex was extended by the addition of a two-storey house.ย The castle forms a homogenous unit with the adjacent harbour and the surrounding houses and during a visit to Slade one has the feeling of being a time traveler in a past age.
