Dublin Bay

Dublin Bay

Dublin Bay stretches from Dun Laoghoire in the south to Howth Head in the north. The centre of the Liffey estuary is Dublin Port with the outstanding chimneys of the Poolbeg Powerstation. The entrance to the port is framed by two embankment walls, the “Great South Wall” and the “North Bull Wall”.ย Exactly from these walls and around the highest point of the Howth Peninsula, called “The Summit”, you have the best views over the bay. The southern Dublin Bay can also be seen from the roof of the James Joyce Tower in Sandycove.
