An Inse
County Meath

Near Laytown is a popular sandy beach interrupted by the Nanny River. On one side there are dunes, sandy beach and shell bank and on the other side of the river there is a thatched cottage, which is a popular photo motif. For over 140 years, a horse race has been held here once a year directly on the beach. It is an integral part of the Irish racing calendar.
