County Cork

A show garden is located on Fota Island, an island in Cork Harbour, which is connected to the mainland and Great Island via causeways and bridges. Rare and exotic trees and bushes thrive here under optimal climatic conditions. Of particular note is the collection of conifers, some of which are among the first to be planted in Europe. In the middle of the complex is Fota House, a former country house used for hunting trips.
